The Bella EXtreme 3205 amplifiers have been known for several years now as an exceptional valued product. Originally debuting as the Special Edition 302/502, they have since evolved into a truly special product.
The Bella EXtreme 3205 amplifiers are a Response Audio exclusive being available nowhere else in the world. The Bella EXtreme 3205 is a stereo power amplifier based on brand new original Jolida "A" series chassis utilizing EL34/KT77 or 6550/KT88 type output tubes for a respectable 50/60 watts per channel.
All 3205 amplifiers are custom built in house. We actually gut the chassis to a point where the only thing remaining is the transformers which are already of exceptional quality. From there we completely custom build each individual amp one piece at a time using the components listed below. There has always been concerns about the quality control of the early Jolida 302/502A amplifiers and we can assure you this is no longer an issue with the 3205 products. Response Audio now has over four hundred of these products playing nicely in consumer's systems. To this date, we have seen less than 3 pieces in for any type of warranty work which is less than 1%. These are numbers we can live with.
Please note that the chassis used to assemble these products may contain slight cosmetic blemishes in the paint surface.
New for summer 2008: Response Audio is taking the 3205 back to the original design that made it so popular in the beginning. The original Signature is coming back. We will also no longer be offering the aluminum face plates. Starting with the next production run for 2008, all face plates will be custom 1/2" solid wood with more wood options coming soon. On integrated units, you will have the option of the standard chassis with no face plate (see picture in "Options" below or a custom wood face plate with two control knobs. There will be no markings on wood face plates.
DESIGN FEATURES
SoniCap Gen II Film capacitors used in the coupling position.
SoniCap Gen II film and foil capacitors used for the signal ground.
"Little Devil" Carbon resistors are utilized in the grid stop locations
Dale/Vishay 1 watt metal film resistors throughout the circuit.
Dale/Vishay 3 watt 1% resistors used at the beginning of the input circuit.
Completely rebuilt power supply containing high quality Panasonic low ESR capacitors make up the filter capacitor banks in the power supply for great dynamic control.
Power supply filter bank capacitors bypassed with high voltage SoniCap capacitor.
Fairchild "Ultra Fast - Soft Recovery" diodes used in the power supply rectifying stage.
Dale/Vishay 5 watt non-magnetic resistors used at the cathode locations.
Dale/Vishay 3 watt 1% resistors used in the bias stage.
Quality Noble stereo volume control or dual mono carbon based volume controls.
High quality 22 gauge copper wire used for the input signal.
Chassis: High grade steel - metallic charcoal
Solid wood face plate (see below)
Tube complement: 4 pieces EL34/KT77 or 6550/KT88 / 2 pieces 12AX7 input tubes / 2 pieces 12AT7 driver tubes
Warranty: 5 years parts and labor / 90 days on supplied tubes.
Warm-up time: 10 minutes
Recommended break in period: 200 hours musical signal
Single input with volume control standard as shown in picture above.
