Watch us as we go through the process of building our demo Bella 88 single ended KT88 amplifier.

This amp will be used in our showroom for those who are interested in auditioning.

About this particular amp:

Circuit and features:

The circuit of this amp will use only the best components including V-Cap Teflon coupling capacitors The additional features of this amp can also include balanced inputs and remote volume handled by a Bent Audio TAP system with LED readout. (see below)
On models with remote control, a switch located on the back panel will bypass the remote for those who want to use an external preamplifier.

Chassis:

The chassis is finished in Japanese Tamo Ash real wood veneer. The front panel of the outer chassis is 2-1/2" thick with the insert being 1/2" thick making for a 3" thick front panel. Sides panels are 1-1/2" thick and the top is 1/2". Baltic Birch ply has been used in the construction of this piece. The back panel on our products are 1/4" acrylic.

 

 

Here is a shot of a standard chassis as shot from the bottom. This is not a Bella 88 insert but is the chassis to a Bella 88 and Estremo 88.

A few other chassis concepts that were also tried. The black chassis to the left was the original unit used for the R&D of the amplifier.

Now we have the Japanese Tamo Ash real wood veneer applied on our Bella 88 that will be used in the showroom.

All necessary holes measured and drilled. Insert is now test fitted one last time.

Found this Raytheon 5U4 rectifier in the closet. It will be used in our floor demo unit.

Here is a quick shot giving you an indication of the size of this Bella 88. To the left of the amp, you will see one of our earlier Purity One preamplifiers that will be used in conjunction with the amplifier.
