This page has been put together to answer the most frequently asked question here at Response Audio. "Can I have you custom built my ---------------?" The simple answer is YES. We are a custom house and have been offering custom modifications and custom building products for over ten years.

Every Bella EXtreme product found throughout this website is custom built to order. What this means for you the consumer is that we can custom build any of our exclusive products to accommodate your personal preferences, taste, listening habits and of course budget. As you look through any given product of interest, keep in mind that what you see listed is based on many years of testing, listening, tweaking, retesting and listening some more. Our customers over the past twelve years have come to know and understand 'our' sound. If you would like to understand our sound as well, all you have to do is read through our several pages of customer testimonials and/or product reviews.

As you look at most of our exclusive products, you will notice we usually offer three levels of performance. The options don't stop there. At Response Audio we realize that many of you may want something a little different or unique that you can call your own. Whether is simply a personal choice of wood for a face plate or to be more involved, choice of components used to assembly your piece; i.e; choice of capacitors or resistors or combination there of, we can accommodate whatever your needs require.

A Few Examples

Amplifiers

Applies to the Bella EXtreme 100's, and custom modified Antique Sound Lab Hurricane and Monsoon amplifiers. It also applies to our Audio Note Custom products.

 We are often asked to custom build these amplifiers with some unique features. Some prefer that we use nothing but carbon composition resistors for the grid stop and/or screen grid applications (we use high quality Ohmite "Little Devil" carbon comp resistors) rather than the Mills non-inductive which is exactly how our showroom pair of Custom Mundorf 100's are arranged. Other options include setting the amp up for either single ended or balanced input only to eliminate another switch in the signal path. You may want or need more power so we can build these amps to run strictly in Pentode...again to eliminate yet another switch in the signal path.

Now we come to the important coupling capacitor choices. Our full reference Bella EXtreme 100 amplifiers were original designed and voiced around the V-Cap Teflon capacitors and this is what we build the most of. We realize that many of you may have another preference in capacitors which is why we can build your amplifiers with your choice of capacitors. Over the past few years, we have custom built units using the following: Multicap, AuriCap (as found in our Signature version), SoniCap Platinum, Theta AudioCap and of course we now offer the exceptional Mundorf capacitors.

As you can see, we do not limit you to our taste and preferences in voicing. If you have a preference on how you want your custom amplifier built, simply give us a call and we will work with you.

Loudspeakers
