Response Audio has come up with a few amplification options for the
Emerald Physics CS2 loudspeaker. The CS2 requires bi-amplification after it's 4 channel DSP
signal processing. The trick here was to develop these amplification options
to be as quiet as possible due to the 100dB sensitivity of the CS2. All
amplifiers are custom built to order and designed around your specific needs
and requirements.
For those who already own an amplifier
and looking only for an additional unit to fulfill the bi-amping requirement
of the CS2 loudspeaker, please give us a call to discuss your requirements.
We can custom build these amplifiers
to meet your exact needs including such options to make the integration very
user friendly. One option is installing a gain control such as can be seen
on the one shown at left. This amp was built to drive the upper frequencies
with a single input and volume control allowing one to fine tune volume
adjustments to better mate with the output of the bass drivers. Like all of
our Bella EXtreme amplifiers, these units are also designed for the lowest possible noise floor.
As an option, the amplifiers can also be equipped with Bybee Purifiers
located in the input signal path to help further provide a blacker
background. Bybee Purifiers are also available in the B+ voltage between the
mains transformer and the rectifiers. This option greatly reduces any
digital switching noise that can be found in solid state diodes (and we used
exceptional diodes to begin with) providing you with a very low noise floor
and blacker background. The B+ Bybee option is $200 per application and can be
incorporated into any of the amplifiers below.
The low frequency amplifiers were
designed to have total control of the twin 15" bass drivers operating in a
dipole manner. When using such an arrangement for large drivers, ample power
and current is necessary to provide ample dynamic control and produce
realistic low frequencies.
Bella EXtreme 3205 Signature
Series
The first amplification options are
based on our BE 3205 Signature stereo tube amplifiers.
These amplifiers differ slightly from our regular production units to
be best suited for the very high sensitivity and frequency ranges of the CS2
loudspeaker. The Signature 3205 will utilize the Audience AuriCap capacitors
for a smooth, glare free presentation while bringing to the table seduction

Bella EXtreme 3205 Signature
w/EL34 output tubes - $1,495 --This unit is best suited to be paired
up with the high frequency driver. Utilizing the EL34 output tube will
provide a smooth, emotionally involving presentation.

Bella EXtreme 3205 Signature
w/6550 output tubes. - $1,550 --This unit will have a beefed up power supply as
compared to the high frequency amplifier to help maintain dynamic
control and impact.
Bella EXtreme 3205 Platinum MK I
& MK II
Now we move onto the second option,
the BE 3205 MK I & MK II Platinum. Just like the Signature above,
these will also differ slightly from regular production units to be best
suited with the CS2 loudspeaker. The Platinum MKII changes things a bit as
it moves into the SoniCap Platinum Teflon coupling capacitors as well as a
redesigned 'modified Mu' input stage utilizing the 12AU7 signal tube.

Bella EXtreme 3205 Platinum MK II
w/EL34 output tubes - $1,850 -- this unit is best suited to be paired up with the
high frequency driver. Utilizing the EL34 output tube will provide a
smooth, emotionally involving presentation. The Platinum will be a
bit more 'precise' as compared to the Signature above with a noticeable
improvement in the areas of inner detail retrieval and clarity. Equipped
standard with Bybee Purifiers in the input signal.

Bella EXtreme 3205 Platinum MK
I w/6550 output tubes - $1,699. This unit will have a beefed up
power supply as compared to the high frequency amplifier to help
maintain dynamic control and impact. Like the Platinum EL34, this
amplifier will also be more precise and cleaner.
Also note that ALL of the amplifiers
mentioned above are very versatile in that they can utilize the following
output tubes: EL34, KT77, 6550, KT88, KT90.

High Frequency Amplifier - Bella EXtreme 3205 Signature w/EL34 output
tubes
Low Frequency Amplifier - Bella EXtreme 3205 Platinum MK I w/6550
output tubes.
