Design Philosophy:
The Musicale Phono utilizes the same analog circuit as our Musicale Extreme Dual Mono preamplifier but rather than being a dual mono design, the power supplies are dedicated to different stages (analog and phono) rather than separate channels as in the Extreme. The use of two complete independent tube rectified, choke filtered power supplies for each the analog and phono circuits allows for greater separation of individual instruments, impressive expansion of the soundstage and greater ability to "hold together" in loud passages offering a more effortless sound with new found stability and "locked in" stereo imaging. For those looking to have the remote version, you can be assured of a noise free opperation as the remote is powered by a separate regulated DC power supply and even has it's own mains transformer.
Both the analog and phono circuits are built on 1/4" Birch Ply boards eliminating any circuit board traces. The non-remote purist design is equipped with a high quality Grayhill source sector and Noble volume control with a DACT attenuator available as an option. There is also a remote option available which is described below. Handling the AC duties is a new version of our long time popular RAM Standard AC cord equipped with a high grade Speak-On "Power Con" connector for a trouble free secure connection. About the remote: Used in the Musica Bella preamplifiers is a remote controlled stepped attenuator that does not use noisy motors or dozens of relays. Running off it's own dedicated regulated DC power supply means a trouble and noise free opperation that does not interfere with the music signal. We have even used a separate, dedicated transformer, manufactured by Hammond, so the remote modules share noting with the circuits' power supplies other than the AC input. A "shunt" attenuator design with the control circuitry located in the ground leg so only a single Dale/Vishay resistor is found in the actual signal path. If you want the ultimate in performance, the Musicale Phono is available with our MBX (Musica Bella Xternal) power supply.

The Musicale Phono is available as a manual unit with your choice of custom wood control knobs. have included this picture here as well to show an example of the type of
