New Direction for 2010

The Web Site

Over the past few weeks, you may have noticed the look of our web site has changed. We have been working hard to clean things up to make it much easier to navigate. At the same time, we have gone back to the Response Audio name rather than Bella Extreme which only confused people.

We have also been working hard the past year to get all of our products ready for 2010. Response Audio is now settled on the products that we will continue to promote throughout the year.

The times are changing

It is obvious that things have changed considerably over the past few years. The economy sucks, people are loosing jobs daily and consumers have to be smarter in their purchases. One thing hasn't and never will change, people still love and appreciate music when experienced through a high quality system. Going forward in 2010, Response Audio will start fresh with a new product line targeted for these times of recession. The new 'Basis' and 'PhonoMax have already been introduced and doing well. To follow soon, early 2010, will be the 'Bella SE10' single ended 10 watt amplifier, 'HeadMax' headphone amplifier/preamp and the 'Vivace' 20 watt mono bloc amplifiers that will come later in the first quarter. With the exception of the Basis 88 and Estremo 88 single ended amplifiers, no Musica Bella product listed above will cost more than $2,995.

Mate a few of these products together for a partial or complete 'MusicMax' split chassis system equipped with everything you need for decades of musical enjoyment. There are a few pieces we do not manufacture or sell such as a CD transport and DAC. No worries, we have recommendations for these pieces and they even fit into our split chassis rack. Oh, wait a minute, we can't have a system without speakers. Again, not to worry as we have recommendations that suit the 'MusicMax' single ended system perfectly.

On the other end of the scale, Response Audio will continue to design and manufacture. The Purity One and Purity One Reference linestages will officially be launched early 2010.

Response Audio has also made arrangements with Audio Note Kit Division to offer fully assembled and tested Audio Note Kit products. The complete line is now available and come with our outstanding warranty. DETAILS

Audio Note Custom products will continue to remain in our lineup for those looking for Audio Note based products offering their fullest potential. Visit our Product Page for more details as we have added more pieces to this line.

Suppliers / Manufacturers

Over the past few years, Response Audio has joined forces with many other designers, custom chassis and cabinet designers/manufacturers and specialized component suppliers. These ventures have resulted in inadequate designs, failure to meet delivery deadlines, substantial lost of revenue and most important, a mark on our reputation that we have spent years developing.

From this point forward Response Audio will no longer rely on others to produce critical components necessary in the assembly of our products. All critical components we cannot manufacture in house, such as custom transformers, will now be handled by those with a long standing reputation of only the highest integrity allowing for consistency in all of our designs.

New products/New Design:

From this point forward, all Musica Bella products will be housed in our new split chassis design as a standard. Custom chassis designs are always welcome. Analog circuits will be housed in one chassis while the power supply with be housed in the 'PowerMax' power supply chassis. The exception is the 'Vivace' mono bloc amplifiers. The chassis design will be the same but there will be only two chassis. One per channel.

Custom One-of-a-kind

Everyone has different needs and preferences as well as wanting something they can say nobody else has. In 2010, Response Audio will be manufacturing some very unique, one of a kind pieces that will be offered as they are completed. When Response Audio started in 1996, the company started out as a custom loudspeaker company. We have several unique designs that will be made available soon. High efficiency line arrays, ribbon based systems as well as some more unique pieces will be showing throughout the year.

Same holds true for some of our preamps. We have several unique chassis designs that will be offered. Again, these products will be offered as they are built.

Recession Busters

At Response Audio, we realize things are not a good as we would like them to be in regard to the economy. With more people staying home and not going on those expensive vacations, they need something in their lives to take you away to another place. There is nothing better than music to sooth the soul and set your mind at ease. We have decided that to make life easier, our Musica Bella products will be sold at a discounted price for a while making it easier to assure more people can afford to have a quality audio system to take away the recession blues.

Modification Services

Known for our high end modifications, these services will remain in our lineup. Still one of our most popular upgrades and still going strong is our Reference Ming-Da MC7R vacuum tube linestage. A hot product recently added to the modification lineup is the Ming-Da 2A3-X8 tube preamplifier. Showroom

Response Audio is reopening it's showroom for 2010. We will not be a retail dealer for other manufacturers but will have other speaker manufacturers' product on display and available for audition. This showroom is being dedicated to displaying our Musica Bella and Bella Extreme product lines as well as the new Purity products.

Response Audio currently has plans to have a complete Audio Note system up and running. This system will consist of various components from Audio Note Kits and our Audio Note Custom line.

We are looking for high end loudspeakers to have available for audition. If you are or know of a custom speaker manufacturer that does not have a dealer network and looking for a Northeast location for consumers to audition your products, please contact us for details.
