The Purity Extreme linestage
incorporates a full dual mono design with balanced inputs and
outputs. Bass is deep, tight, fast and authoritative. A clean, crisp
yet lively midrange and upper end with an uncanny sense of air and
detail brings emotion and realism back to your listening experience.
The use of quality components throughout allows for a great sense of
detail, transparency and resolution while maintaining the musical
purity true music lovers lust for.
The goal with the design of the
Purity is an obsession to be as true to natural live sound as
possible. Not neutral as in tube sound vs. solid state but natural
as it's heard directly from instruments both tonally and dynamically
while still being able to preserve the true sense of space for both
instruments and vocals.
This is accomplished by using
Baltic Birch Plywood for the sub chassis. After several years of
'listening' to different mediums, we have found Baltic Birch
allows the Purity to produce a presentation that is like live
music rather than a synthetic hi-fi sound.
The
Purity's noise floor is exceedingly low -- below audibility in fact
which helps it uncover the highest level of detail in a way that's
unmatched. Coupled with this is a very forceful, immediate
presentation that, along with that non-existent noise floor, makes
for exceedingly wide dynamic range. There is also a forcefulness,
especially in the bass, which has great depth, power and speed, that
will have you pulling out some of your favorite recordings just to
hear what emotions the artist was truly trying to portray.
The Purity uses a pure,
clean effective zero feedback circuit based on the 12AU7 dual triode
tube (one per channel) allowing tube rollers an affordable solution
to roll tubes as your hearts desire.
Everything throughout the Purity
is 100% hard wired with a combination of silver over copper wire
with a Teflon dialectic. There is not a circuit trace to be found
anywhere. A dual chamber sub chassis eliminates interference between
the power supply and analog circuitry.
